Java Software Engineer

Job Location : Chennai
Years of Experience Needed : 0.5 to 2 years
This position is responsible for implementation of new homes/setup and product configurations for our clients across all product lines as per project specifications under the supervision and guidance from lead/manager.
As an individual contributor, the key responsibilities of this position holder would include:
• Implement new home setup as per the specifications mentioned in the DGF (Data Gathering Form) by using scripts, SQLs and other support tools.
• Maintain existing homes/setup (cs tickets, enhancements, bug fixes etc.
• Performs analysis for the installation, modification and support of various product features based on client requirements specified in the DGF.
• Manage all customer support tickets related to product configuration changes end to end.
• Adhere to the process, timelines and commit to quality. Give utmost importance to Unit Testing the work.
Skills Required:
• Basics of Java, SQL, HTML, XML, CSS. Knowledge of PL/SQL, JSP are an added advantage.
• Understanding of project/product life cycle and associated issues.
• Programming, debugging and trouble shooting skills.
• Ability to work independently/in a team coupled with problem analysis and resolution skills.
• Ability to proactively work with the QA team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with great quality so as to interact with clients directly.
• Candidates with BE /MSC / MCA background with 0.5 to 2 years experience.
